Rosa Alia S. Mendoza graduated from the
University of the Philippines in Diliman with a degree of B.A.
Public Administration and from the Ateneo de Manila University -
College of Law where she obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Ms.
Mendoza was accepted to the Bar in 2006, after which, she worked as
a litigation associate in the Britanico Sarmiento and Franco Law
Office. As a litigation associate, Ms. Mendoza provided in-depth
legal advice on corporate, labor, commercial, persons and family
relations and intellectual property matters to individual and
corporate clients of the firm. She appeared in numerous court
proceedings before the MTC, RTC and CTA, and in several
administrative and quasi-judicial bodies, such as the NLRC, POEA,
HLURB, etc. She also engaged in the provincial canvassing of
votes of candidates on the national level.
In 2008, Ms. Mendoza became an associate counsel in the South
American Entertainment Corporation - Regional Operating
Headquarters, the company handling the Asian and European
operations of Thunderbird Resorts, Inc. She provided advice
and legal support to all Philippine affiliate corporations of the
SAEC-ROHQ, on matters relating to construction and real estate,
tax, labor, corporation, contracts, litigation, property, and
intellectual property law. She handled the corporate housekeeping
duties for several of the Philippine affiliate corporations. She
was also in charge of overseeing compliance of all requirements and
regulations of government agencies, such as PAGCOR, PEZA, BIR, SEC,
BCDA, PPMC, DOT, Register of Deeds and appropriate LGUs. She
was lead counsel to The Point - Poro Point Real Estate Project
Group under Thunderbird Pilipinas Hotels and Resorts, Inc. wherein
she ensured compliance of all governmental and legal requirements
in preparation for the take-off of The Point Residences - the real
estate venture of Thunderbird Pilipinas Hotels and Resorts, Inc.
located at the Poro Point Freeport and Economic Zone, San Fernando
City, La Union.
