Ms.
Amanda Carpo is a Philippine national educated at the
University of the Philippines (B.A. Political Science) and
Ateneo de Manila University School of Law (Juris Doctor), a
practicing corporate tax lawyer in the
Philippines, and a former senior tax consultant
for PriceWaterhouseCoopers Manila. Much of her work
experience is in international business transactions and Philippine
inbound investment. She was also involved in Knowledge Management
for PWC where she was directly responsible for updates on the
latest laws, jurisprudence, and issuances by the Bureau of Internal
Revenue and Department of Finance and assisted with technical
training sessions. She has provided legal and tax advice to
investors seeking assistance on market entry into the
Philippines and to those already doing business in the Philippines
and has advised with clientele that includes a broad range of
multinationals, publicly listed companies, local companies,
government owned and controlled companies. Early in her career
Amanda apprenticed at Romulo, Mabanta, Sayoc, and de los Angeles
Law Firm and eventually worked at Feria Feria laO Tantoco Law Firm,
one of the Philippines' most respected and experienced law firms
where she worked on the privatization of the National Power
Corporation of the Philippines which is to date the largest
privatization project in the Philippines.
Attorney Carpo eventually left the traditional law firm
environment to found Kittelson & Carpo Consulting to focus on
assisting foreign companies doing business in the Philippines.
